Enrollment for the 2021-2022 Academic Year is Happening Now

Cornerstone Christian Academy is currently enrolling students for the
2021-2022 School year
A letter from Ron Yocum
Hello, from Cornerstone Christian Academy. My name is Ron Yocum. I am the Headmaster of CCA. The following is information pertaining to enrollment at Cornerstone for the 2021-2022 school year. Our hope and prayer is that we can faithfully come along side parents in support of God’s call to “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”
The time to Re-Enroll and to Enroll students for the 2021-2022 school year at Cornerstone Christian Academy begins on February 1st with Open House scheduled for that Monday evening at 6:00 PM in the gymnasium. I hope you share our excitement as we look forward to the coming year. We are expecting between 50 to 80 students to enroll, which could limit the number of students we can have in each grade level. I want to encourage you to get your enrollment forms completed as early as possible. I expect classes to fill up quickly.
The choice you make for your children’s education shapes them academically, spiritually, and in their worldview and skills. At CCA, the faculty and staff are equipped to address each of these developing areas of a child’s life. We take seriously the responsibility to develop children’s minds through Godly, critical thinking, Christian curriculums. They know that developing skills in young people is essential to helping them reach their God-given potential.
Cornerstone teachers help cultivate a worldview in which God has His rightful place, and they look to the Bible for guidance in answering life’s questions. These teachers enhance children’s spiritual development in an intentional and nurturing manner.
The recent Cardus Education Survey and other education studies show that Christian schools develop the whole child better than any other type of school. I have had parents express to me their concern that being in a Christian School is like putting their children in a “bubble.” They think sheltering their children in a productive Christian environment shields them from the harsh reality of the world. And to that I say a resounding “YES!” It’s our responsibility to protect our children until they are mature enough to handle adult situations. My observations are bolstered by additional research from Cardus, a research think tank, whose recent studies have revealed that graduates of private Christian schools have more close ties with others outside their immediate context than students from other schools. They are just as likely to know public officials, community leaders, and corporate executives-if not become such leaders themselves.
The Christian School isn’t paradise. It’s not perfect. No family, or church, or community is. But, for those who have chosen Christian schooling, who have committed to be a part of it, pray for it, support it, and fight for it, not as an idol, but as an act of worship of the God they love, most days it’s pretty great.
Statistics for states in mid America show that the average regional cost to educate a child in public education is above $11,000 per/student per/year. At Cornerstone Christian Academy, our tuition and fees total $5,000 per/student for the 2021-2022 school year, which is one of the lowest tuitions in the state. Sure, Christian Education is an investment, but it’s an eternal one. As a father of seven, it’s the best investment we ever made.
Our tuition last year was $4,450 and fees last year were $500. Realizing the economic affects and results of the pandemic we are still suffering through; our Board of Directors have determined to only increase the 2021-2022 Tuition by $50 per/student. As stated in the previous paragraph, this will bring our total tuition and fees from $4,950 to $5,000 per/student. Your faithfulness and financial commitment to CCA has encouraged this ministry to help each current and future families seeking Christian Education.
My prayer is that as you consider the present and future education for your children, Cornerstone Christian Academy will be a part of your family discussions. Every year hundreds of thousands of students graduate with a consumer degree. At Cornerstone we believe in training students to be Productive, American, Christian Citizens, who are prepared to begin giving back to society instead of expecting the world to give to them. We will train them to be producers not consumers.
If you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to call or email us. We’ll do our best to answer your questions and resolve your concerns.
